Tie A Turle Knot

Why I'm tying this knot is to attach an inline spinner on my line using a bobber stopper. The reason why we use this type of knot over the Palomar or Improved Clinch Knot (which both are great knots by the way) is that it comes apart easily when you need it to come apart. You can tie this knot on a light or heavy line, mono, fluoro or braided line. For the most part, any type of fishing will use this knot for the reason I'm tying it today.

Use a multi-strand material like Power Pro or Spiderwire for this knot. If you use a monofilament line you will see that it will be hard to get the small size of a braided line through the eyelet of your spinner and also if you do manage to get it through the loop, it won't set right and will come loose very easily.

Detailed instructions

Step 1:  Start with your tag end and pinch it in between your thumb and index finger or pinch the line at the eyelet of the spinner. I'm using a Palomar Knot on my spinner so that's why I'm leaving a little tag end to tie it in when the time is right.

Step 2:  Take the tag end and run it through the eyelet on your spinner in a counter-clockwise direction.

Step 3:   Take the tag end up & over your line in a clockwise direction so that when you let go it will rest nicely there.

Step 4:   Tighten the knot by pulling on the tag end first and then the standing line so that the knot is nice and snug.

Step 5:  Trim off your tag end.

That's it... simple as pie!
